Sanatan Mandir Cultural Centre’s Reconciliation Walk

On Sunday, August 27, members and supporters of Sanatan Mandir Cultural Centre (SMCC) donated the majority portion of the proceeds of their Reconciliation Walk to Anishnawbe Health Foundation. Congratulations to SMCC for raising $57,000!

Empty Bowls 2017 - 25th Anniversary

On Thursday, October 12 at 5pm, the Gardiner Museum held the 25th anniversary of Empty Bowls. More than 400 bowls were donated by potters, potter’s guilds and students, and delicious soups were prepared and ladled out by some of Toronto’s most eminent chefs.  The event raised more than $15,000 for Anishnawbe Health Foundation.

Rotaract Club of Toronto Fundraiser for Anishnawbe Health

Thank you to the Rotaract Club of Toronto for raising $5,000 for Anishnawbe Health Foundation. Over 150 people attended the reception on February 22. The Rotaract Club of Toronto is a service-based organization sponsored by the Rotary Club of Toronto. Members seek to be actively engaged in the community and make both local and global communities a better place.

Toronto Netralya Lions Club PROUDLY PRESENTS “LIONS GALA FOR SIGHT” 2018 FOR INDIGENOUS EYE HEALTH

The Toronto Netralya Lions Club (TNLC) raised $100,000 for Anishnawbe Health Foundation at a gala fundraiser organized at the Avani Event Centre in Vaughan.  Funds raised will support an Eye Exam Room and a Diabetes Care area in the new building for Anishnawbe Health Toronto.  Lion President Kanta Arora served as chair of the event.

More than 500 people enjoyed the event emceed by OMNI Television’s Jake Dheer and was attended by the Consul General of India Dinesh Bhatia.  The gala brought the two cultures together through an opening prayer and smudge ceremony by Traditional Healer Pete Keshane, lighting of the Diya lamp by Lion President Kanta Arora and Diane Gray, President of Anishnawbe Health Foundation, a presentation of traditional PowWow dances by the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto and beautiful performances by Lata Pada Samparadaya Dance Creations.
